Andrew Hartmann

Water Resources Technician

Andrew Hartmann joined RPBCWD in the summer of 2023 as a Water Resources Intern before being hired full-time in November 2023. His primary duties include routine water quality monitoring and fisheries management. He also assists with fleet and database management as well as general maintenance. He has a bachelor's degree in marine biology from the University of Florida, and worked as a watercraft inspector before joining the District.

The best part of Andrew's job is in the seclusion offered by some the sampling sites, and the uncommon flora and fauna that might be found around. He also enjoys having the oppurtunity to involve the public in our work. In his free time, Andrew enjoys running, hiking, and nature walks in general. He also enjoys restoring his '71 AMC Javelin SST, playing piano, and reading.

Andrew's Favorite spot in the District:

Purgatory Creek near Edenvale Park. It is excellent habitat for native crayfish and they are present in abundance.
